Completed B.Sc Agriculture and worked as Extension officer in government department in Eluru for 2 years. After listening the announcement by Adurthi SubbaRao about search of New Talent, attended the Vahini Studio’s talent hunt and was offered a role in ” Rangula Ratnam”. The Movie received “Nandi Award-Golden ” and also the national award as best state feature film.

He was one of the very few Brahmin actors of those times who left with surplus money throughout his life. He was known to be close to the Actor Shobhan Babu who is known to be a Real estate tycoon. Chandra Mohan too invested in few lands as per the Babu’s suggestion and owns good amount of lands in Chennai and in Andhra.

The Movie Shankarabharanam collected around 2.2 Cr in Tamil in those days which is more than the Tamil collections of Bahubali 1&2 put together.
