Gouth Sireesha belongs to a Back ward community caste Padmashali. However, she got married to Mr.Venkanna Choudhury of Forward Caste Kamma. Sireesha and Choudhary were in love for years before they got married. Sireesha studied Bcom in Gitam University where she met her classmate Venkanna who eventually became her husband. They fell in love in Gitam.

Sireesha alleged that the comments made by YSRCP leaders of Srikakulam including the S Apparaju (MLA ) on her Caste are only because she or her family doesnt have any black mark to be pointed out. Gouthu Sireesha was pointed as daughter in law of Kamma caste and not the BC leader. This had upset her and cried publicly and expressed her grief and questioned if marrying other caste person is wrong.
