Agnikulakshatriya Caste History
As per the legend, during the times of Parashurama ( the Lord vishnu avatar to destroy kings ) the saint Jambu Maharshi has created four Vaishnavites through Yagna of fire and named them as ” Agni kula Kshatriya”. This is said to be happened on Mount Abu in rajasthan and from there these warriors were sent down south and central india to establish kingdoms.

They eventually established several kingdoms like Pallava, Chola , Shathavahana, Chera , Chalukya etc . Most of the Agnikula kshatriya caste folks claim that they are the direct descendants of the pallava dynasty kings.
In the parts of Southern Andhra Pradesh and North Tamil Nadu, it is said that the Agnikula Kshatriyas are associated with the Pallavas. The Pallavas were a great royal dynasty that ruled from Palnadu or present day Guntur -Ongole area (in Andhra Pradesh ) to Kanchipuram (in Tamil Nadu). They made significant contributions to temple construction, arts, and literature in South India from the 4th to the 9th century. Some historical evidence suggests that the Pallavas identified themselves as Agnikula Kshatriyas. Their inscriptions and temple architecture (such as the temples of Mahabalipuram) reflect their rich heritage and long history they are pride of.
