Mungode assembly elections

Munugode Assembly Elections made every one to have a look at Caste wise population of the constituency as BJP and Congress have decided to nominate only Reddy community leaders when it was once the hub of Communists. The analysis of vote bank interms of caste, religion, trend and other aspects will help the parties to identify the grey areas and do social engineering during the elections. Infact when dealing with constituencies like Munugode , it would be very interesting as it has diversified castes population.Demography suggests why Communist party was successful in this region for decades before being almost wiped out. Munugode / Munugodu Assembly Elections ( Bi – Polls ) analysis is incomplete with out finding out which caste is highly influential here. We get to hear ” Reddys” as the dominating Caste as this is the den of Komatireddy brothers. However, it is amazing to see that Gouds and Mudirajs are the actual game changers here as Reddys actually are less than 5% of population.

Despite of having adequate number of Backward caste population , Congress party had been encouraing the Mighty Reddys who make only around 4% of constituency population whereas the Gouds who are about 27%, Yadavs 17% and Padmashali with 9% were outrightly ignored. It is surprising that just these three castes make more than 50% of population of the region. Munugode has a history of tilting towards Left ever since Nizam era. Being part of Nalgonda district and little close to the Andhra region, had the Left – Communist party influence even till 2014 elections. There is still Communist vote bank alive in sleeping mode. However, congress party had long history of winning repeatedly using powerful Reddys and giving tough competition to the left party.

Top 5 Castes in terms of population in Munugode assembly Constituency :

The Above data suggests that Gouds and Mudirajs are enough to decide the fate of any party’s victory in the region. However, they have been found tilting towards Congress or Communist party all these decades trusting in the leader rather than the actual parties.

Now that the actual fight is between TRS , Congress and BJP , it turned out to be very interesting as which party these influential castes would chose to vote.

As per trend and sources, the Backward caste parties – specially the Gouds, Munnuru Kapus,Mudirajs have tilted towards BJP as it appealed the BC leaders in the recent times by giving important positions. Senior leader Laxman was offered MP Rajyasabha , prior to that National BC commission member was also nominated from Telangana region ( Thalloju Achari ) and the first and mighty step by the Saffron party was appointing ” Mr.Bandi Sanjay ” as the State President.

These moves have made BJP get closer towards backward castes ( not SC or ST but the BC group ). It is alleged that only after identifying this, KCR and his team has decided to groom BSP in the state by launching their proxy ( Ex IAS Praveen Kumar ) to split the BC community vote share in Telangana and favor TRS.

Communist party to support TRS to fight against Hindu Party BJP

Communist party which still has significant followers among the old generations had decided to surface itself this time in supporting the ruling TRS. Analysts having been alleging that Communists parties are silent about TRS failures as they are sold out to KCR and stopped protesting for public. Now, Munugode as exposed them completely.

CPI to support TRS in Munugode Bi election

Communists party vote bank would help KCR to fight strong against BJP in this rural area with many old generation people still proudly claim themselves as leftists but it was also revealed that Communist voters are against KCR . It would be interesting to see if Left voters would blindly vote for TRS or would decide to go against it.

Are Reddy’s Still mightier in Munugode ?

Munugode Assembly Caste analysis shows that Reddys are the only Financial messaiahs of the region and thats the reason why they have been politically dominating.

But are BC castes like Gouds , Mudiraj etc are still back ward and lack cash rich leaders to contest?

Congress party has been winning enough seats in Nalgonda and infact that is the only erstwhile district of Telangana where it is still considered to be little stronger. komati Reddy brothers, Janareddy etc hail from this district and Munugode is part of it. Entire Nalgonda has been hub for Reddys and they dominated the region politically for decades.

This was used in a right way to provoke people against the land lord community and garner votes by the Communist party. It won even as recent as 2014 General elections using the same emotion. Public have been emotionally fooled by both the parties. But now the situation is changed.

Educated Backward castes are now aware that they are in majority in this region and can change the fate of any party.

Since Komati Reddy Raj GopalReddy is contesting on BJP ticket , the backward caste educated might spare him for this time as most of them are upset with Congress and TRS but with not much opinion on BJP and believe BJP is the only force which can taken on mighty TRS.

However, the future seems to be of Backward castes here. If not Komati Reddy, the BJP would surely pick a smart BC leader from this region. TRS too is eyeing to pamper a SC or BC leader from this region for some time now.

Komati Reddy Rajagopal Reddy might win the BI elections due to the wave of BJP this time but the Reddy factor would not be last longing in Nalgonda as Back ward caste youth have started realising their strength. One Strong Goud’s candidate can change the fate of any party in upcoming elections here.

KCR took lot of time in deciding the Munugode Candidate only for this reason. TRS chief belongs to TDP in the past which master minded caste wise politics and promoted BCs in Telugu states against Reddys where ever it was required.

KCR might be thinking BC card would bring the change but Can TRS find a Cash rich BC leader to contest against the mighty Filthy Rich Komati Reddy ??…
