Why Gujrat UP gets 10 times more funds than Telangana and Tamil Nadu? Questioned TRS.

TRS party on twitter shared an official data of central government Sports policy and questioned about the discrimination being followed in allocating funds. The data shows figures from India today quoting various figures states received under Sports Infrastructure program. The Data was provided in parliament as a response to the question in Loksabha on August 02 this year. The Telangana ruling party TRS official Twitter account used this data to question the central government about it’s discrimination on Some states.

It clearly shows Gujrat and Uttar Pradesh were allotted 10 times from funds than any other state. There is only one South Indian state – Karnataka in the top ten states with highest funds. Rest of the highest funds too went to North Indian states.

There have been numerous instances about different leaders and netizens questioning about discrimination of central government in allocating funds to different states and specially to South.

South Indians highlighted various instances when North Indian states were allocates huge funds where Peanuts were thrown to the southern states.

UttarPradesh is known to receive more than deserving funds only because of having 80+ MP seats.

Did Telangana Government follow right Protocol in asking for Funds from Central government ?

Generally, the central government funds allocation would happen as per the rules levied by the program makers. States need to apply for the required funds citing the actual requirements using facts and figures . Most of the times , states would not even apply for these program or show least interest and later do foul cry that they didnt get enough funds.

There have been various occassions where the central government had to reply to the RTI questions that no request of funds was received by the state government at all.

For ex : Recently the central government allotted Medical colleges to various states. Telangana didnt get even one in that allocation whereas Andhra , Tamil nadu and Karnataka got almost double digit numbers.

TRS party played victim card and cited discrimination but later it was revealed by the state BJP leaders that the State government didnt make any application as per the protocol to get Medical colleges in the state from central and thats the reason why no extra medical colleges were allocated.

Therefore, Public seek similar response from the BJP or Central government in this Sports facility funds allocation as well to avoid any differences.
