Nirmala Seetharaman the Central minister of India had made a sudden visit to one of the rural Ration shop (Commercial supplies store ) through which the Ration rice is supplied to the eligible BPL public. The Rice in Telangana was offered for Rs.1 per kg under subsidy earlier but after pandemic , the BJP government announced free ration to every eligible. This free or subsidized rice is the main Vote bank weapon in many states as each member gets 5 kg of rice which is equal to their almost 20 days consumption (An Adult consumes 700 gms of rice on an average per day ).

What did Nirmala Seetharaman Say about Ration rice contribution by central government ?

The central minister made a sudden visit to one of the civil supplies store in Telangana and asked district collector about the incidents of Prime Minister flexis being removed by the local TRS party goons.

She explained when central government is responsible for majority of the contribution why the Prime minister flexis are not being allowed. She cited incidents of Modi’s photos being removed and torn by the local TRS party workers in Ration shops.

Ms. Seetharaman questioned if the collector has the data of contribution of governments in the Rice supply for which the IAS officer was speechless. Central minister asked the IAS to get the data and answer before she leaves. Mean while , Subordinates of Collectors hinted about the central government’s contribution on Ration rice.

She explained ” Each KG rice costs Rs.35 in the market but it is generally given to the BPL family for Rs.1 per KG. The subsidy of Rs.34 is paid the Central and state governments. Of which, the Rs.29 is contributed by the central government and the rest 5-6 rupees is by the Telangana Government “.

” Why is that Modi’s flexis are being removed and torn from the Civil supply shops in Telangana ? they should be allowed and I should be able to see them in my next visit” questioned and warned the District Collector.
