Sonia Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi graces the oath taking ceremony of Revanth Reddy as Chief minister of Telangana.

Revanth Reddy oath taking ceremony as the First Chiefminister of Telangana from Congress party took place in Lal bahadur Stadium in Hyderabad today. Sonia Gandhi with his son Rahul Gandhi and Daughter Priyanka Gandhi had graced the grand event. The expected twist on electing the chiefminister lasted for 3 days after the results when KC venugopal announced the PCC president Revanth Reddy as the chief minister of Telangana.

Revanth Reddy too had his wife , daughter and grand son be on the stage while he takes the oath as the chiefminster. Revanth Reddy would be a first chiefminister of Telangana from the congress party and the second person ever.

Revanth Reddy is the junior to majority of his MLAs in the party

This would be surprising to know that Revanth Reddy is not a senior leader in congress party and only joined this national party 5 years ago. He only won as MLA twice and once as MP in his entire political career.

Many MLAs like Uttam kumar Reddy, Komati reddy brothers, Jeevan reddy, Sridhar babu, Seethakka, Bhatti Vikramarka , Malreddy Ranga Reddy and many more MLAs are quite seniors to the Anumula Revanth Reddy who joined Congress from TDP after the formation of Telangana state.

Revanth Reddy lost all the elections as PCC president in the last 4 years. Congress party candidates lasted in third position in Dubbaka, GHMC elections, Huzurabad , Munugode etc Bi elections.

However, his Padayathra kept karyakarthas energetic and let the party sustain in the tough times. The sudden fall of BJP due to the change of Bandi Sanjay as BJP Chief in Telangana gave Revanth Reddy to emerge as alternate leader in the state which he perfectly exercised to bring the Congress party in power.
