A.R.Rahman Follows S.S.Thaman Style to promote PS II Anthem

PS II Anthem was released amidst huge buzz in Anna university in Tamil Nadu few hours ago today. The Ponniyan Selvam Team with the director Mani Ratnam , his wife, Trisha , A.R.Rahman and other cast &Crew were present at the anthem release event. The video was released on youtube which gives the glimpse of the movie. A. R .Rahman appears in the song singing it through out which is generally followed by music composers like S.S.Thaman and Devi Sri Prasad when they compose music for star actors .

However, in the video only Rahman appears but not any other music staff including the co singer Nabyla . Generally Thaman ensures that he be part of the song along with other co singers , keyboard players and other crucial members of his composing and music making. This is missing in the album and makes it not so exciting.

The Video is directed by Shaad Ali who fails to create impact . These kind of anthems must depict the theme of the movie through the art direction of that movie but only fire back grounds with some unclear faces dancing , there is nothing special about the song making. Some of the movie clips were added in the video song.
