BJP receives backlash for providing housing to Rohingyas
The Central government of India has announced about shifting 1100 Rohingyas in Delhi ( Numerous children not included ) to flats with basic facilities and round the clock security. These were living in tents all theses days with the help of government and now would be provided with free housing. The Union minister for Housing and Urban affairs Mr. HardeepSingh Puri had officially tweeted about the shifting to government aided housing facilities with 24*7 security. This announcement lead to huge uproar and backlash by some Indians on internet.
The Union minister further tweeted that India respects and follows United nations organisation’s Refugee convention 1951 and provides refugee to all irrespective creed, religion and country.
Public have reacted in surprising way about their anguish of providing shelters to foreigners using their hard earned taxes. It was even pointed out by few that the houses being provided are in the costly South west area of Delhi.
Mean while , Pakistani Hindu refugees who have entered the country escaping the life threats have been living under the Singature Bridge of Delhi. Government was questioned, why this ethnic group is not being given any shelter.
Modi aiming for Nobel Prize ?
Bangladesh too has Rohingya refugee issue and they have been trying hard to push them back in to Myanmar. Dhaka Government dumped thousands of Rohingyas in an island to avoid their entrance into their country. Still, almost 0.7 Million are living in Dhaka and Bangladesh has approached China to help them deport back to the Buddhist country.
Public have expressed that they feel backstabbed by the BJP party as they expected the party to protect the national interest and not for any vested interests. Prime Minster Narendra Modi is blamed for this approach and few openly commented that Modi has been dreaming of Nobel peace prize and putting the National interest on stake for it.
