The first glimpse of the movie was released on the birthday of Mahesh Babu’s father Yesteryear Super star Krishna ‘s Birthday i.e 31st May in 2023 which created huge buzz. Guntur Kaaram movie is coming right ahead of Mahesh Babu’s Magnum opus with S.S.Rajamouli and probably this would his last regional Telugu film.

Guntur Kaaram is Super star Mahesh Babu’s 28th film and the third film to be directed by Trivikram Srinivas. This pair had earlier worked for the movies Athadu and Khaleja which remained as cult classics in the Telugu film history despite of not tasting so big commercial success. Athadu is the most watched Telugu film on the TV in the history of modern Telugu cinema and it’s satellite rights was renewed for 8 crores which was record hit. Khaleja stands as one of the top 5 Telugu movies ever played on the TV channel and carries one of the highest TRP ratings in Telugu states.

The first glimpse was released on May 31st on the occassion of Mahesh’s father Birth day and this small video bit filled with action and swag of Mahesh babu had created enough buzz.

Rumours

Mahesh Babu was reportedly upset with the behaviour of the director Trivikram Srinivas who was not concentrating enough on the project. Srinivas was seen working for the Ads of Allu Arjun , spending time with the Politician turned actor Pavan Kalyan and also working as creative head for his ongoing movies. This had made upset and he even reportedly ordered for the reshoot of part of the movie in April. Ever since, the director had stayed away from Pavan kalyan projects and solely concentrated on the Guntur Kaaram Project.

However, while the Movie Guntur Kaaram is still on the sets , in the first week of July 2023 the product team Haarika & Haasine creations had announced the next directorial movie of Trivikram Srinivas with the Icon star Allu Arjun.
