Telangana congress election manifesto 2023 with 6 guarantees full details and analysis on clarity in announcement and possibilities. Congress 6 Guarantees in Telangana are the major highlights of the Election manifesto of the Telangana congress for 2023 General Assembly elections. These are some what identical with that of congress manifesto in karnataka which worked well in appealing the kannada voters. More interestingly , the 6 guarantees of the congress party announced in Telangana by Sonia Gandhi in the Tukkuguda meeting have been much more appealing to the Telangana public. However, the implementation of these schemes in the state is going to be a mere challenge for the national party. Let us discuss about the possibility of implementation of these 6 guarantees in the Telangana state if the party comes in the power. Congress 6 guarantees in Telangana are here below with detailed analysis of possibilities.

Congress 6 Guarantees schemes

congress 6 guarantee scheme

Mahalakshmi Scheme for Women of Telangana -classified in to 3 schemes.

a) 2500 rupees to every woman in Telangana.

b) Gas Cylinder for Rs.500.

c) Free Bus ride to all the women across the state of Telangana.

There was no clarity in the speech as who are eligible for this 2500 rupees benefit every month. There would be around 2 crore women in Telangana who would be expecting these 2500 rupees. If implemented, this would be atleast 2500 crore rupees per month to the exchequer.

2500 X 12 = Thirty thousand crores of rupees should be allocated to the budget of the Telangana state even if half of the Telangana women are given 2500 rupees under this scheme.

Free Bus Ride for Women across Telangana

This is one of the key appealing factor for the working class of women in Telangana among all the schemes announced in the telangana congress election manifesto

Sonia Gandhi had announced this with outmost interest and stressed on the factor ” ACROSS THE TELANGANA ” while speaking in the Tukkuguda meeting. Though the Translator Uttam Kumar Reddy failed to convey it to the public with same emotion and spirit like his supremo.

This free bus ride had started in Karnataka and the women have been availing it.

However, this free bus ride is applicable only in ordinary buses and express busses but not in any sort of luxury buses.

Therefore, this scheme is only beneficial for the daily commuting female labours and employes who use ordinary buses but not the other women who wish to travel once or twice in a month as travelling in these ordinary buses is a nightmare for many women due to the overcrowd and chaos.

This is the only scheme which could benefit some sections of women who travel daily but many of the daily commuters in Telangana use Autos more than RTC buses due to the uncertainity of the arrivals of RTC buses.

Free Bus Ride will steal the bread and butter of Autowalas ?

If one goes to any junction , many women would prefer to pop into any Auto or prefer to take metro ( due to easy access and fast reaching ) rather than waiting for an RTC bus.

Therefore , implementation of Free bus rides for women will cause financial damage to the Auto walas .

The 7 seater Autos are more used in rural areas than the bus and it is estimated that around 5 lakh 7 seater Autos run in the sub urban and rural parts of Telangana picking and dropping around 1 million women every day.

All these lakhs of families of Auto walas would take a huge hit due to this free bus ride scheme.

Gas Cylinder for Rs.500 only

This would be one fo the best schemes which would benefit families across the state . However, this scheme is more or less being offered by all other political parties in the state. Infact, KCR announced to give cylinder for Rs. 400 only.

Indiramma Houses – Free Housing scheme

a) 5 lakh rupees for construction of houses for families with no house.

b)250 sqyards land for Telangana activists .

c) Every homeless will be given home for all as soon as the government forms.

The above announcements are not new to the telangana state as the incumbent BRS government had announced same amount of 5 lakhs per family with land to build house but this was never implemented.

Congress govt too had announced the same scheme but didnt mention how soon it would be started.

However, if implemented, this would be one of the best schemes for the homeless as this would enable all the rural and suburban small land owners who own less than 80 sq yrds to build houses with govt funded money.

Indiramma Illu – Indiramma housing scheme was popular back in 90s and 80s , however there was a complaint as these houses lack quality and are extremely small to live in with no facilities and some not even with a bathroom.

The changed times should fetch in more facilities and features in Indiramma homes and this would help downtrodden to get some shelter .

250 sq yrds to the Telangana activists would be mostly misused as it is not announced whether this would be given to families of martyrs or the activists . If given to the acitvists, this would be misused and offered to the congress and their leaders loyalists at the cost of the government money.

2.Free Electricity of 200 units for every house hold

This scheme took months for implementation as the tenants had to apply for this scheme at power offices leading to long queues and delayed applications.

It lead to two negative outcomes for the public . The Government tried to push the burden of this free scheme on two sectors .

a) Commercial industries

b) middle class and upper middle as usual.

Karnataka had tasted the similar offer by congress party during the general elections this summer. However , after the party came to the power the electricity tarriffs have increased for the section of the houses who consume more than 200 units every month. The Commercial tarriffs too were hiked as soon as the government formed and this lead the state wide bandh called by the industries all over the karnataka state. Look at the below announcement by the chamber of commerce of industries in karnataka due to the unusual power tarriffs in karnataka in the very first week after the formatioon of congress government in karnataka this June.

The Middle class IT and ITES based employees working from home faced the heat of power tarrifs.

The Bengaluru being the hub of IT in the country has around 0.2 million IT / ITES employees working from home . All these employees working from home required to consume slighlty more than 200 unit s and the power tarriff hiked for the consumption above 200 units have forced this section of the pubic pay 0.5 times more money as power bill.

Thus this free electricity scheme had been a boon to the poor and lower middle class but became more burden to the middle class who consume more units than 200.

Rythu Bharosa – 15000 per acre

Farmer support scheme of Rythu Bharos will offer 15 thousand rupees per every acre and 12000 per labour.

The congress party announced that they would apply this scheme to the Koulu Rythu too.

This is an addition of 12000 rupees per labour used by farmer per acre. However, this is not made clear how many labours are allowed per acre. That means if 2 labours are allowed per acre, 24000 rupees must be offered per year / peracre to the farmer. This will help farmers to hire labours with ease .
