Vande bharat Train south India

Vande Bharat Train allotments have lead to some thought provoking scenarios in the country and stood as a classic example for the biased nature of the central governments towards some states. It was no surprise when the first 4 Vande Bharat Trains were allocated to North India and 3 out of 4 were alloted to the Hindi states. Raiways Budget allocation has always been biased to some Hindi states since Independence. The Most revenue generating South Indian zones like Secunderabad has always been ignored in sanctioning new trains and routes. Now the Vande Bharat Train Allotment has clearly proved as the Railway allotment goes on Wills and Fancies of the Some North Indian decision makers.

The first Fourt Vande Bharat Trains were alloted to North Indian zones.

  1. New Delhi to Varanasi
  2. New Delhi to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra
  3. Mumbai to Gandhi Nagar
  4. New Delhi to Amb Andaura ( Ahmedabad ).

The Fifth allotment was done out of mercy to Bengaluru and Chennai and again the 8th allotment was done to another South Indian Zone i.e South Central zone.

Now if one can see that South Central zone ( Secunderabad – Telangana ) is the most revenue generating Railway zone in the country with less allotments and few stations. Unlike North India, South Central Railway faces very less passengers who travel with out tickets. Therefore, the Collections are always huge. However, the allotments of new Coach factories or new Trains or infact new routes or doubling of existing routes ( Most of the routes are built during Nizam era and are of single line ) are rarely sanctioned in Budgets.

Now that Vande Bharat train is allocated to the South central Railway , lets look at how it would help the Telangana public.

The Vande Bharat 8 is alloted to Secunderabad to Vijayawada route. If one looks at the users of this route, it is obvious that majority of the passengers who frequent in this route are the Andhra Pradesh state residents and not that of Telangana. If Provided stops, the Warangal town of Telangana might get the benefit but if not the majority of the stake holders of this route of Krishna and Guntur Districts of Andhra Pradesh. The Warangal Bus route to Hyderabad would also take around 2 hours to reach the destination , therefore the Vande Bharat Train might not help Warangal residents a lot.

Had the Vande Bharat been alloted to Karimnagar or Warangal to Bengaluru via Hyderabad or atleast Secunderabad to Bengaluru, Mumbai or Tirupati would have helped the Telanganites a lot.

This route of Secunderabad and Vijayawada doesn’t help Telangana public a lot. As per an estimate every day 1-2 lakh Krishna and Godavari district people of Andhra pradesh travel to Hyderabad for various reasons and in the weekends the number gets doubled. Infact during some long weekends, the Highway of Vijayawada and Hyderabad get Jammed for hours. Therefore, the majority of the benefit goes to Andhra Public and almost none to the Telangana.

There are already numerous trains to Vijayawada from Secunderabad. Almost every alternate hour there is one Train which passes through Hyderabad stations to Vijayawada every day. This extra allotment doesnt do much to the Andhra Passengers and almost nothing to Telangana public.

This route is speculated to have one stop at Kazipet ( Warangal ) and there are numerous trains to Kazipet which frequent every alternate hour and it hardly takes 2 hours to reach.

The Railway line to Medak Town ( One of the biggest district center inTelangana and nearer to Hyderabad – Indira Gandhi contested from here in the past ) has been delayed for decades and finally got approved but the pace of the work is not at all satisfactory.

The Medchal , Manoharabad track doubling work has been ongoing since 2015 and the pace of the work tells us that it would be take another 3-4 years to get completed. This Medchal manoharabad – Secunderabad route has huge scope of easing the hardships of daily commuters to the city but due to huge traffic ( due to single line ) the daily trains never arrive on time and thus the daily commuters of these regions wont chose the trains but buses and other means.

The central government or Railways authorities have always turned blind eye towards Telangana region as this place never had an impactful Central minister after the Great P.V.Narasimha Rao.

Therefore, it is high time that the Telangana Public must open their eyes and start deciding to send some educated and firm leaders to the Parliament who can fight hard to get more sanctions for the Telangana state.

More Trains to Hitech city from different corners of the city with in RRR i.e from the regions like Medchal, Shadnagar, Narsapur , Sanga reddy are required so that more Telangana youth can frequent to the city. The youth of these regions face huge hardship in daily commuting to the Hyderabad though the regions are with in the 100 kms vicinity.

A few Trains and couple of new lines would bring greater development to the areas like Jogipet, Sangareddy, Medchal, Narsapur, Shadnagar etc… Easy Commuting would lead to better education and good jobs.

A Decades Promise of Kazipet Coach Factory ?

The Kazipet Coach Factory was luring Telangana since decades and finally the 2014 State Reorganisation act allotted a Coach factory to Telangana. But the newly formed NDA government had shifter that coach factory to some where else and
